Papertrey Ink Blog Hop-September

Hi friends,
Today I'm participating in PTI's Blog Hop. The challenge this month was to go green. We had to do something with the packaging received with our order. Going green with packaging is not a stretch for me, as you may have noticed in previous posts :) Probably due to the rat pack nature of mine! Anyhoo, I do keep the clear packages the stamps come in & that's what my project uses today. Let's get on with the deets!

I created this case for my ink cubes using the clear box from the Scattered Showers Additions Set (luuuuuv it Dawn, great set! :)I simply created a box base & slid it into the clear box ( I cut off the opening & side flaps). Ta dah! Super easy peasy! I did add a few little embellies to pretty it up.

I added this decorative brad to act as a knob or pull.

I can very easily slide out the box & get the color I need.OK, here's how I ACTUALLY store my ink pads:It's not so pretty & colorful, but this way it makes it easy for me to quickly be able to see the color I need and the ink sits on the "top" of the pad~~> juicy & ready to go!

I used the Spellbinders die to label the box & added the pretty flowers from my most favorite floral set- In Bloom. (I luuuuuv it!) As you can see, they all fit nicely. It looks like I'll need to make another box for future cubes. I'll just adhere it underneath this one & have a two drawer chest! Problem solved!

Thanks so much for peekin' at my simple, but very functional project today. I'm off to check out your PTI green inspirations--- Gotta Go!

  2. This is a super clever way to store the ink cubes - i LOVE it and will have to case it for future use. I, too, store my ink upside down. Thanks for sharing.

  5. V-E-R-Y clever & very useful (mine are in an old SU clear container -- this is WAY cuter & I like that is slides out & no lid to deal with --think mine will be changed up (& prettier) soon!!! ;-)

  15. That is so smart! I used to keep my cubes in a box like that, too, only I wasn't smart enough to make it user-friendly like you have, so I took them out. Great work!

  23. Great idea. This is such a neat idea. I have to CASE it. I can think of different uses for it. I can fill it with nuggets and use it as a gift. Or can fill them with small notepads and pens and pencils and give it to teacher gift. WOW Awesome. Thanks for sharing this amazing project with us.
