Hi friends,
Today, I'm hopping along for this month's:
The second card has a bit of dimension:
I stamped the leaves in gold ink & then heat embossed the veins in Pirate gold. I then added Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Close to Cocoa inks to them---> sparingly to not lose the gold completely. I fussy cut them out so I could pop them up on the card front. The sentiment is stamped in Close to Cocoa on Vintage Cream cs. The edges were distressed & inked with more gold ink. I also flicked a bit of gold ink on it.
Card #1 is also playing along at:
CAS on Sunday: One layer wonder
Cupcake Craft: Not For Flower- CAS
Creative Card Crew: No Designer Paper
Ugh... sorry for the lighting on my pics. I am still waiting for the light bulb for my photo light to arrive so this wonky lighting is driving me crazy! Aaack!
Thanks so much for hopping by!
Tootles!

Today, I'm hopping along for this month's:
The challenge this month is a Touch of Gold.
I have a couple of cards I created with that in mind.
Here's the first:
I call it the Midas card because it's all gold *Ü* I challenged myself to go for a CAS, one layer card. I stamped five different leaves with Colorbox Gold. The sentiment is heat embossed in pirate gold powder on a Vintage Cream card base.
Both cards are so stylish, love them!!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I love the detail on the second card - plus they are such soft and elegant examples of how to use gold without a lot of embossing :)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty - I love the softness of the gold and the subtlety of it combined with your color palette :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards Karli! The first one is my favourite with the subtle leaves and bit of bling!
ReplyDeleteJust breathtaking! What wonderful composition as well as a sensational use of gold.
ReplyDeleteI have one critique, and that is I fear that most people who do a Google image search for PTI will not easily find your glorious creations.
I noticed that an image search (at least in Google) uses the first image in your blog post. For you, it just shows Papertrey's logo, and doesn't give a hint of your beautiful creation. You can fix that by putting an image of the card (or a tantalizing close-up of it) as the very first image, followed by PTI's logo, if you wish. Your cards are so beautiful that everyone who does a search should want to visit your blog!
Thanks for sharing your creations.
