Creative Card Crew Challenge: Spring

Hi friends,
This week's challenge at Creative Card Crew is SPRING! I think we've all been waiting for the spring weather, so why not start on a bright & cheery card!
Here's my card:
This was a rather simple card. The little lambs are digis from Robyn's Fetish. The tree is made with circle punches & the hills are torn cardstock. Wrapped a little double bow around it & called it a Springy day!
Our sponsor this week is Robyn's Fetish who is generously offering 5 digi stamps or 4 digi stamps & 1 digi paper to one lucky winner! Please be sure to take a peek at the Creative Card Crew blog to see the rest of the DTs beautiful cards & be sure to Linky your card creation by next Monday.

Thanks so much for peeking today! Be sure to check back for a special announcement... or two... or three ;)

One More Mini-Me

Hi ya friends,
It's been crazy busy on the home front and it's really cut into my lovely crafternoons :( but I did manage to create one more card.
Here it is:
This is Tilda in the Garden- luv her! I totally have an obsession for the Maggies :) She's colored with Copics. To me, it looks like Tilda was in a hurry & put her shoes on the wrong foot! but it just adds to her charm :)
Here's a closer peek:
See what I mean??? Hee!

This card meets the following challenges:
Anything Goes- Pearls
Play Date Cafe: Color Challenge
Shelly's Images: Flowers, Bling, & stitching
The Sweet Spot- Sketch

I have to hang in there 1 more week & then it's Spring Break!!! YIPPE!!! I can't wait. And to give you a heads up, next week will mark a VEEEERY special day around the blog-o... can you guess what that might be??? Be sure to pop in on the 13th... just sayin'   ;)

Well, thank you for peeking today!
I'm off to go get some sleeps in.
Gotta Go!

D2D: Garden Party

Hi friends,
I have a card to share using this week's free image that was emailed to everyone who played along with the progressive challenge at Designed2Delight last week. If you didn't get to play along, this image will be available at the D2D store so you can get in on the fun!
Here's my card:
I decided to go with fun, spring colors cuz the weather here is SoCal has been wonky! It was near 90 degrees earlier in the week & now it's raining & cold! ugh :(
How 'bout some card deets :)
This is a cuuuute image & was fun to color. Speaking of which, it was colored with Copics, then I added yellow liquid appliqué to the centers so they're puffy. To finish, I gave all of the flowers a kiss of Diamond glaze. The bee's wings & the cupcake got a bit of Stickles for sparkle.
Here's a closer peek:
The edges got bitty pearls with my Viva Decor Paper pen :) To finish, I added a double bow & hung a paper charm from it.

If you decide to play with this image the next cutie will be emailed to you. Please hop on over to the Card Ideas blog for more card inspiration! and if you're looking for the *perfect* Easter image for your cards, Faith has posted a beautiful one as a Facebook Freebie---> Here.

ABC Challenge: R is for...

Ribbon!
Hi ya friends,
Welcome to a brand new challenge at ABC Challenges! This week, the challenge is to use ribbon. Woo! Woo! I have a love affair with ribbon so I am all over this challenge!
Here's my card:
In honor of the ribbon challenge, I inked up Ribbon Hair Tilda. She's colored with Copics. I added Stickles to her dress trim, on the bow of the gift she's holding, and to the ribbons in her hair. There are loads of dimensional elements and layers around her, so I hope it doesn't look like a hot mess in this pic! I did add some bitty pearls with my Viva Decor Pearl pen, but I kept it small & as an added detail. The HB sentiment is stamped on the new Spellbinders Ribbon banners die---> luuuuv 'em :)

The letter R is brought to you by Pollycraft who is offering a fabbie prize to one lucky player. Be sure to Linky your card creation to the ABC Challenge blog by Monday April 11th. Please stop by the ABC blog & check out how the rest of the DT has used ribbon on their cards.

Make a Wish Mini-Me

Hi friends,
Hope you had a lovely weekend. I admit I was a bit lazy this weekend, as I spent all Saturday watching Season 1 of Spartacus. Man, is that a GREAT show! I caught the second season recently so I went back & watched the first. It is definitely NOT for everyone, but I'm hooked! Sunday, I did manage to get a few things done including a few cards.
Here's one of them:
I used last week's fab sketch from Card Patterns with Fairy Dust Tilda. I just luuuv her- she's adorable. I've colored her a few times & for some reason, I can only make her a brunette :)
Here's a closer peek:
She's colored with Copics. The fairy dust got a bit of Stickles as did her shirt & pant trims. I tucked in a couple of Whimsy tickets (I luuuv those!) I added 3 rolled roses.

This card qualifies for a few challenges out in blogland:
Magnolia Stamp Lovers: ribbon
Delightful Challenges: flowers
The Crafty Pad- flowers
I Did It!- Anything Goes
One Stop Craft- Spots & Dots
Our Creative Corner- Girl Power Recipe Challenge: Handmade flower, ribbon, & bling

That's it for now. Thanks for peeking today!

Designed2Delight Reveal

Hi ya friends,

I finally get to share the news I've been so excited to share with you!!! I will be on the cover of SPORTS ILLUSTRATED SWIM SUIT EDITION!!! I was notified that I was a finalist for their special "Hot Teachers" edition & last week I received the photo of the cover to be released in June!
Here is a sneak peek for ya:

                                                             APRIL FOOLS DAY!!! LOL ;)

Sorry about that! Hee! Hee! so evil of me ;) For friends who may not be familiar with what happens on April 1st quite simply, it is widely recognized and celebrated as a day where everyone plays all kinds of jokes and foolishness and that was my attempt to fool ya :) Me as a "Hot Teacher" in Sports Illustrated is seriously funny! As if...

But now, the real news is that I've been invited to join the Designed2Delight DT!
Today, I have the pleasure of sharing my first card as part of the DT. I used the Digi stamp called "Spotty Dotty Watering Can."

Here's my card:
Such a sweet image don't ya think? I printed it twice so I could pop up the flowers & the butterflies. It's colored with Copics & I added some pearls with my fav Viva Decor paper pen :) I mean, shouldn't every girl's watering can have pearls??? By all means...

Here's a closer peek:
I added some Glossy Accents underneath the watering can so it looks like it's sitting in a little puddle of water & a little on the spout. The butterflies & the centers of the flowers have Stickles on them. I added a few stick pins through the bow & finished it off with a sticker sentiment on the bottom right corner that reads "Gracias."

Spotty Dotty is the fabulous Freebie for April to get you started on the progressive challenge at the Delightful Inspiration blog. Pick it up by Thursday, get crafty, & create a card with this image & the next one will be emailed to you. Be sure to check out Faith's blog (Delightful Inspiration) for all the deets!

There are some amazing cards the DT has created to inspire you at the Card Ideas blog too!

Thank you so much for peeking!
Go out there & fool someone today ;) ---> but keep it nice!

Cardabilities DT Reveal Sketch #28

Hi ya friends,
We've come to the end of yet another month (sheesh, is this year flying by or is it just me???), but that means it's time for a brand spankin' new fab Cardabilities Sketch! It is also a bittersweet reveal since many of our wonderful DT members are at the end of their term :( and this will be their last sketch reveal with Cardabilities
Here's Karan's sketch for ya:
Here's my card:

Oh, how I had to restrain myself from using gears! But I love the clean, openness of the sketch. I call this my "Frankenstein" card cuz I used left over bits & pieces of paper from other cards to give this one "life." I made rolled roses which are super easy-peasy to make, (if you've never made them before.) No dies, just cutting of a circle. The swirl along the edge are Sizzix dies which I added little drops of pearls with my Viva Decor Paper pen ;) The border is a MS punch. It's hard to tell, but the sentiment is tucked below the roses.
Here's a closer peek:

So... are you ready to show us your cardabilities??? Be sure to Linky your card creation to the Cardabilities blog by the 14th of April. Please be sure to check out the awesome cards our talented DT girlz have created to sketchspire ya! We would love it if you could also show our retiring DT members some luuuv by leaving some kind words for them :) Thank you!

Thank you so much for peeking, my friends! I'm so tickled you chose to spend a bit of your day taking a looksie at what I've got to share. I really appreciate you :)
Hope you have a great crafternoon today!
Hugs~
