Beach Week in Review + 3 Videos!

Hello there friends, I had a Beach week on my YouTube Channel recently and it was great getting to create several cards using beach-themed stamps from my stash. I created a simpler card and a stepped up card with an interactive feature!

Day 1 features the Gina K Ocean-Minded Stamp set

The larger card has a pop-up Adirondak chair. So fun!
Here's the video if you'd like to see how these cards came together.

Day 2 features the Hero Arts Color Layering Waves and Color Layering Sea & Sky stamp sets.

This set features a slimline card and a pop-up box card!
Here's the video, if you're interested

Day 3 features the Hero Arts Beach Heroscapes Stamp set.

For these cards, I created a one layer card, A interactive window card with an awesome brick technique I saw Vickie from Clips and Cuts do. I loved the way that came out! The third was another pop-up card this time with a pop-up beach ball.
Here's the video if you'd like to check these out:

Note: The Pop-Up dies I used are retired---I know, I know...BUT there are some updated dies available that are actually easier to put together that the ones I have and they are wafer dies, not the Bigz dies I have. You can check them out here ---> Adirondak ChairSurprise Ball.

Hope you're well and staying safe.
Until next time...

It's a Beautiful Life

Hi there friends,
Today I have a card for this week's color inspiration at CR84FN. I'm not one for color challenges (don't really know why), but as soon as I saw these colors, I just had to play along.
Here's the color palette:
swoon... anything with gray and pink works for me.

Here's my card:

I used a new stamp set I won from a challenge at JUGS :) It's called A Beautiful Life from Gina K  & it's a beautiful stamp set. The tulips are colored with Copics & then I added Glossy Accents to them. The edge of the frame has ultra-fine glitter so it's a bit sparkly (although you can't tell in this pic :(
It's a pretty simple card for me :)
Copic colors used: V12, V15, V17, V91, V93, V95, YG91, YG93, YG97

This card also qualifies for the following challenges:
Cute Card Thursday- shiny cards
Paper Play- Add shine
Creative Cottage: Florals

Thanks for peeking today!

Cardabilities Birthday Month Sketch #23

Hi ya friends,
We are continuing the birthday celebration at Cardabilities with a brand spankin' new sketch by the sketch master herself, Karan Gerber.
Here it is:
 Here's my card:
I really liked working with this sketch :) I took the opportunity to create a birthday card for my pal, Jean.

The Deets:
I embossed the CS with the Victoria CB embossing folder. The Labels 9 Nesties coordinates with the stamped image from the Nina Brackett stamp set called Lovely Labels (Losing my mind over this set, it's serious fabulosity!) The sentiment is Inside & Out: Birthday PTI. I also used the Fleur de Lis Borderabilities, although only 1 of then is peeking out :(   To complete, I added a couple of blingies & a rolled rose.

Here's a peek of the innies:
There's more faux stitching along the edges. I stamped the large rose from the set YOF: Rose by PTI in white very subtly in the corner. The sentiment is also from Inside & Out: Birthday (PTI). The CS is Soft Sky, Whisper White, & black- SU!.

We would love to see your Cardabilities, so please linky up your card using this sketch at the Cardabilities blog. Oopsie! I almost forgot- you're not just playing for fun this week- there are 3 gift certificates up for grabs to Dreamweaver Stencils!!! You've got til Feb 2nd to get your card in!

Thank you so much for peeking today!
