Hi ya friends,
I'm back today with one more card to share. This will be another busy week for me so I thought I'd get all the play time I could before I start on my school stuff.
Here's my card:
There's a color challenge this week at Magnolia Down Under of pink, orange, & white. I know that's my blog pal's, Kathy's, fav color combo, so I thought I'd use her sketch & her color combo to make a card & play along in a few challenges. :)
This is 60's Tilda enjoying a lolly (that I colored & glittered with Stickles).
Here's a closer peek at her:
She's colored with Copics. I think that she's the perfect Tilda for those that don't like the no mouth & nose thing cuz they would be hidden behind her lolly ;) The flowers are from WOC, the border punch is doily lace by MS, on top of the doily is the Picot Edge Circle Nestie. I punched out & layered the SU punch & wrote the sentiment on it. I like my stitching how I like my fur---> faux, of course ;) Oh, the papers are from the Tickled Pink collection from MME. That's pretty much it.
By the way, here's Kathy's sketch for Tuesday Morning Sketches:
and my Tilda will be playing along in the following challenges:
Magnolia Down Under: Color Challenge
Just Magnolia: Use a Doily
Totally Tilda: Die Cuts & punches
Magnolia Stamp Lovers: Punches
Thanks for peeking! Gotta Go!

She Will
Hi friends,
I have a card to share with ya today I made for a friend who just got engaged. :)
Here's my card:
I used MFT's Girls Day In stamp set for the main image. It's actually a stamp of a girl getting a manicure, but the way she's holding her hand, it looks like she's showing off the new rock :) I saw someone do that with this image a long time ago, but I don't remember who it was :( She's colored with Copics & her clothes were paper pieced.
I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch:
and the colors from CR84FN:
I thought the papers from DCWV Lemon Flower stack were perfect for this challenge :)
I'm also playing along with:
Delightful Challenges: Use Pattern Paper
Papertake Weekly: Use Kraft
Thanks so much for peeking today! Enjoy your Sunday :)

Less Frill, more Dude
Hi friends,
Does your mind wander while you're crafting? Mine... of course! Today's card is proof of that. I initially decided to make a masculine card, but that's not quite what I ended up with! Here was the end result:
Masculine? Maybe not with that doily & lace- oh my! Did you see my feeble attempt to make it more masculine by adding twine. Ha! Nice try there ~ Ugh... :( Sometimes I get so lost in my paper crafting, I totally lose sight of the objective! I wanted to play with the Cuckoo Clock Spellbinders die I recently picked up. I guess it reminded me of the one Grammy has at her house which is why I got it. So I guess I need to go back to the craft room & work on one a little less... frilly :) IDK, what do you think? Masculine enough??? The pattern paper is Lost & Found Breeze by MME, the doily is a die from PTI.
I used the current sketch from my friends over at Cardabilities:
I'll also be playing along with the following challenges:
City Crafter Challenge: It's All Natural
Creative Card Crew: Masculine :) The intent was masculine, you decide though :)
Whimsy inspiration Challenge: Monochromatic
Thanks so much for peeking today!

Glittered Buttons
Hi there friends,
This week's Make it Monday by PTI is to create a project with glittered buttons. It's sooooo easy & fun! Now, ALL of my buttons are going to be glittered :) It's so hard to get a good pic of the glittered buttons, but they are so sparkly!
Here's my card:
I used the hot air balloons from the set Everyday Button Bits with Spring Rain buttons. The fence is the woodgrain fence by MFT & the grass is a MS punch. I also used a previous MIM technique: Using dies to deboss. I debossed the cloud dies onto the cardstock.
Here's a closer peek:
That was another neat technique! I stamped the sentiment "Just soaring by to say hi" right above the fence in Spring rain ink, but it's hard to tell. (Me thinks it's time for the reinker :( I did a bit of stitching along the edges- make mine faux, of course.
This is a pretty CAS card for me right!??? It's going to a friend I haven't talked to in a bit cuz we're both super busy, just to let her know I'm thinking of her & to say "Hi."
I'll also be playing along in the following challenges:
Celebrate the Occasion: Challenge #51 Thinking of You
The Stamping Boutique: Stitching (faux)
Make it Monday: Anything Goes
The Crazy Challenge: Use a die or punch
Hiding in my Craft Room: Glitter
That's all for now. Thanks for peeking today!

Lady Tilda
Hi friends,
I was gifted a 3 day weekend (thank you presidents:) and I did nothing crafty :( so sad. But I did clean my house, washed a mountain of laundry, and veged out in front of my tv :) Now that my house is in order & the laundry is done, I feel a lot better about spending some time in my craft room.
Here's my card:
This is Lady Tilda from the Fairytale collection- so cuuute :) She's colored with Copics. This was my attempt at defining folds, so as you can see I need more practice- I find coloring folds one of the hardest things to do, so if you have any pointers, I'm all ears! I wanted to keep her skin color muted & a bit soft.
Here's a closer peek:
I was very inspired by the pic at The Shabby Tea Room this week:
How pretty is that??? I would luuuuv a set :) I thought the Howdy Doody papers from MME would go perfectly. I added a gold doily to complement the gold on the teacup set. I also die cut the nestie out of vellum so the pretty floral paper would still peek through. Her headband & ruffles have Stickles for extra sparkle. To finish it I added some WOC flowers & leaves from YMH.
I used this sketch from Magnolia Down Under:
I'll also be playing along with the following challenges:
Magnolia Stamp Lovers: Fairy Tale
TOMIC: 3-2-1 Recipe: 3 pattern papers, 2 + embellies, 1 stamped image
Magnolia Highlites: Shabby Chic-vintage
Thanks so much for peeking!
Hope your day is like a fairy tale :)

Mojolicious
Hi ya friends,
I have been trying to keep myself busy so I don't think about my little boy, Jordan. He's been away at Science camp all week & I miss him so much :( but one more sleep & he'll be home again! It's been hard not being able to talk to him & weird at the same time. I'm sure he's having a great time, but he's NEVER been away from home, without one of us. :( ugh...
Well, one bit of awesome news is that today I got one of these:
*****S Q U E A L !!!!*****
for this card:
---> insert me running around like a crazy woman shouting hurray! :) :) :) I have participated in the Mojo Monday sketches soooo many times, but have never won. Today changes that! Now I get to cross that off my bucket list ;) Since I was a winner, I get to choose a Verve stamp set, and I'd luuuuv to get your opinion. Which should I get? I've had my eye on a few sets- decisions, decisions...
I got a chance to play with this week's Mojo sketch:
Here's my card:
My Spanish buddy had a birthday yesterday so this was the card I made for her. Those beautiful papers are from the Howdy Doody collection from MME. I used the Labels 9 Nesties and the Butterflies 2 dies. As with all of my cards, that is faux stitching. I am afraid of sewing machines! Ha! I used to be a model--- a hand model ;) so I have nightmares that an out-of-control sewing machine is going to sew my fingers together! I guess I should just do what I did when I was afraid of spiders---> I bought the biggest spider in the world, a tarantula. That cured me! After having my tarantula, Rosie, for 11 years I have NO problems with spiders. Perhaps I should try the same therapy for my fear of sewing machines! Hee!
Thanks for letting me share today :) & thanks for peeking in!

PTI Sketch 5
Hi friends,
I luuuv sketches. I *heart* sketches. I <3 sketches. Anyway you say it, sketches are awesome! PTI is continuing it's Anniversary celebration with a choice of 5 fab sketches for today's challenge.
Here's the sketch I chose:
Here's my card:
I used papers from the Love Me collection from MME. The sentiment from my fav, Signature Greetings, is stamped on a Fancy Tag 3 Nesties. I cut out some hearts & added some heart buttons as well. This card came along pretty quick-like---> by necessity. You see, a new episode of Spartacus is coming on soon & I couldn't possibly miss that ;)
Thanks so much for peeking today!

Heart U
Hi ya friends,
What a busy week this has been, but I'm looking forward to some crafty time this weekend to work on my Valentine's Day goodies. I sooooo need some lovely crafternoons!
Today I have a card I just had to make to decompress from a particularly icky day at school :(
Here's my card:
As soon as I saw this week's Mojo Monday sketch, I knew I needed to make a pocket front card. The papers are from the Yours Truly collection by Echo Park- luv it! The bingo card was made with the Anyday Bingo & Crossword stamp set from My Creative Time. There's a heart ribbon slide with white ribbon in the center of the bow & then added a few pins to finish it off. I felt like the bottom pocket front looked a bit bare, so I added a blingy flourish.
Here's a peek at the card without the pocket inserts:
Here's the Mojo sketch:
I will lovingly be participating in the following challenges:
Delightful Challenges: Love
DYSU Challenge: Love
Paper Play Challenges: Love Letters
Divas by Design: Love is in the Air
Papertake Weekly: Anything goes...with a Love theme
Tip Top Tuesday: Valentines (TIP: I trim the sharp points of stick pins with a heavy-duty wire cutter. That way, the recipient doesn't accidently poke her/himself while admiring your crafty creation. :)
Mojo Monday: Sketch 227
Ahhh, what would I do without the joys of paper crafting to calm my nerves??? Here I come 3 day weekend!!!
Thanks for peeking :)

PTI 5th Anniversary
Hi ya friends,
As soon as I saw Papertrey Ink was celebrating their 5th anniversary, I had to join in the fun. I am a huge PTI fan & am so glad to see so much growth & success to the wonderful peeps at PTI. :) Congratulations!!!
I cannot choose a fav design team member as I always find inspiration from someone on the DT. For the challenge, the project that most caught my eye was the one by Melissa Phillips.
When I think Melissa Phillips, I think preeeeetty & ultra feminine. Look at that onesie card! ...happy sigh... :)
I luuuv this die & if you visit my blog, you know it's my go-to card when I'm in a pinch but need something cuuuute.
Here's my boy version:
I didn't have the the stamp set Melissa used so I used one of my very neglected CB dies. The sentiment comes from one of my fav stamp sets: Signature Greetings stamped with Enchanted Evening ink. Another of my favs is the button in Simply Chartreuse. The pattern paper is called Just Chillin' from Making Memories.
Now, for my top 5 PTI favs (ooooh was this hard!):
1) Rustic White cardstock
2) Parisian Lace Die
3) The entire In Bloom Collection (Sorry I can't choose just one :)
4) Buttons!
5) Signature Greetings Stamp set
Thanks for hopping by! Continued success to PTI!!!

CHA Tilda
Hi ya friends,
Here's my fav thing from CHA :) The Magnolia Booth...
Here are all the samples they had on display.... happy sigh.... :)
They were giving away a Tilda stamp to everyone who popped in. Since the image is not printed on the packaging, it was hard to tell what it was. But, I was very excited to stamp & reveal her image! Of course I had to ink her up & make a card :)
Here's my card:
I don't know what she's called or if she's exclusive to CHA, but if you look closely, she's stamping a Tilda stamp :)
Here's a closer peek:
I colored the stamp in the traditional lavender Magnolia color & added Crystal Lacquer to give the stamp mount that clear glass look :) I was a kid in a candy store at the Magnolia Booth- all the samples were just so preeeetty! I do luuuuuuv my Maggies :)
The deets about this card:
She's colored with Copics. The heart border is felt trim from Mike's. Her lacy trim got a bit of Stickles. The paper is Love Me from MME, there are Rolled roses- MFT die, & some little pins to finish it off.
Tilda will be playing along in the following challenges:
Addicted to Stamps: Valentine/ Love
CR84FN: Color Challenge- Pink, Red, Lt. Blue
Magnolia Down Under Challenges: Love is in the Air
Totally Tilda: Pink & Red
Just Magnolia: Anything Goes
CMC Copic Challenge: Colors of Love & Photo inspiration
7 Kids College Fund Challenge: Red, Pink, White
iCopic Challenge: Red Love
Mojo Monday Sketch: 226 square card

CHA 2012
Hi there friends,
So here's a recap of some of the goodies from this year's Winter CHA show. First, I'll start off with an apology. Why? Well, I left my camera on the charging dock so I had to take pics with my beloved Hello Kitty iphone. Here are some of the make-n-takes:
This was one from Provo Craft:
It's a 12 x 12 canvas board home dec piece. They had 3 styles to choose from & I chose this one of the cute little sheep. I didn't adhere it down completely cuz i want to add some more things to it. My friend just had a baby this past week & I'd like to give it to her:)
This one is from SEI:
We got to work with their flocked iron-ons & they sprayed them with their inks. It was easy & fun to create this T-shirt!
This was a sweet little card from La La Land Crafts:
I have to admit, I was a little nervous when working on this one cuz there were people all around watching me color! Eeek! I felt pressure to do a good job but I was on the time constraint of knowing there were people behind me wanting to do this too! But I think I did OK under pressure :)
Now on to some peeks of the show:
Here's one of the displays from the Provo Craft Booth. I have to say, they were really low key this year. In previous years, the Provo Booth is the biggest, most busiest booth at CHA, but not at all this year. Hmmm, wonder why???
But this was an exciting find for me:
It's a scoring blade for the Cricut! Now with the upcoming Tags, Bags, Boxes, & More 2 cart, you'll be able to SCORE & cut your boxes with the Cricut!!! Adios tick marks :)
Aren't these roses beautiful! Can you believe they're made of clay? They weigh nothing & are easy to make. These are a Martha Stewart kit coming soon.
These were Dress ups created by designers. Can you find T!m's???
Here are all the new goodies T!m is bringing us:
These were the pop-ups coming from Sizzix:
Doodlebug always has the cutest booth :)
Some beautiful Prima Layouts:
I did sort of stalk my fav designer, Anna Griffin. But I didn't take a pic with her this year :( No running into her at the Starbucks line ----> insert tears here :( but she DID send ME the *sweetest* email regarding my post last year & how it made her giggle! How awesome was that!!!??? I couldn't even believe it. Yes, that email will long live in the hallowed halls of my gmail account & will be printed out & mounted in a special frame for all visitors of Studio K to see ;) Hee! Hee!
So what was my fav thing (besides Anna, of course) at CHA??? I'll give you a clue here:
A little more about this later :)
That's it for now!
