Pizza my Heart

Hello again, friends,
I am loving all this extra crafty time since I am on winter break! I am having fun playing with some new goodies! Today, I am sharing a couple of cards I had so much fun creating!
Here's the first:
I used the Pizza my Heart stamp set from Lawn Fawn to create the pizzas. I had so much fun stamping on the toppings on these Deluxe pizzas *Ü* I don't think I spread the toppings evenly, though, so I think I'll be keeping my day job ;)  I used my circle Nesties to die-cut the pizza pans in silver cardstock. I stamped the gingham table runner using the Gingham Backdrops stamp set also from Lawn Fawn. I did some super simple Copic coloring on the crust.

This was such a fun set to work with, I couldn't just stop at one card! There's a heart-shaped pizza crust as well, but I didn't see a pizza...
Here's what I saw:
COOKIES!!! I colored the cookie crust (pizza crust) and them mixed embossing paste and Tattered Rose reinker to make pink frosting. I spread it over the cookie crust and added some sugar glitter while it was still wet.

Here's a closer peek:
I knew I had created something yummy when my son picked it up and really examined the cookies and said they looked real *Ü* He usually doesn't take a second look at my cards- but maybe I should make more with food on them! *Ü*

I used this week's MFT sketch #260 for my cards:
Thanks so much for taking a peek.
Have a sweet day!

PTI December Blog Hop

Hi friends,
Today, I'm playing along in Papertrey Ink's December Blog Hop. I haven't hopped in ages, and since I had a little crafty time on my hands, I thought I'd play along.

Here's the inspiration pic:
Here's my card:
Aren't those plates just so preeetty!---but I'm all Christmas'ed out. I wanted to make a few New Year's cards so that's what I went with. I used some True Black cardstock (PTI) and Shimmer White cardstock (PTI). I die-cut the 2,1,6 using the By the Numbers dies (PTI) and the diamond die from Lil' Inker Designs. I masked off the middle section and spritzed it with Perfect Pearls. I heat embossed the sentiment and sprinkled on some sequins in red, green, Sparkling clear, and gold. Last, I rounded the corners and inked the edges with some Color Box Frost White ink. I thought the touch of green & red would hint of Christmas and do double duty as a New Year's card too! *Ü*

Here's a peek at the innies:
The sentiment comes from the Winter Scripty Sayings by Lawn Fawn and the diamond is from Girl's Best Friend stamp set Lil' Inker Designs and they are heat embossed in gold.

I decided to make another one since the card design was quite quick & easy *Ü*!
Here's the second card:
This time I went with Gold & White. I kept all of the elements the same - just changed up the colors.

And because you know how I like things in threes...
I made this one for my friends at my old school. Blue and White are their school colors and I threw in some silver for sparkle.

All the innies are the same as the one above, so i didn't take a pic of them.

Thanks so much for popping in today!
May your New Year sparkle and shine!

Holiday Card Blitz Returns

Hi again friends,
I am back with a few more Christmas cards. While the last set of cards were more fun & whimsy, these are a but more fancy and formal. One of these cards is going to my Grammy, but I reeeeally don't know which one!!! I don't know which one she'll like the most :(   Anyhoo...

Here's the first:
I used embossing paste and the Poinsettias stencil from Judykins for the background. It's such a neat effect! The image is from the Holiday Poinsettia Candle by Heartfelt Creations. I heat embossed it in white and colored it with the Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I added a strip of washi tape to anchor the image. The Noel die cut comes from the Holiday Words: Script dies from Sizzix/TH.
Here are some closer peeks:

I turned to another Heartfelt Creations stamp for this card:
This time, I used the Regal Poinsettia 2 stamp set.
I used the Zig CCRB markers again along with my clear Wink of Stella brush to paint them. This could not have been easier to do! Then I decided I wanted glitter--- LOTS of glitter! So I painted some glue around the poinsettias and covered it in some Martha Stewart Crystal Fine glitter. Luv it!
To complete it, I added some gold sequins to the centers, die cut "Merry Christmas" from gold cardstock (again, from the Holiday Words: Script dies) and mounted it on some gold Glitzy Glitter cardstock from DCWV. Like they say... All that Glitters, makes me happy *Ü*

The next card uses another Heartfelt Creations Stamp:
This comes from the Snowy Cardinal stamp set. I water-colored it with Distress Inks.
I made sure to paint outside the lines so you'd know this was colored by hand ;) wink... The watercolor paper was cut out using the Spellbinders Labels Nine die.

For the last card, I decided to try my hand again with the ZIG CCRB markers.
I heat embossed it with clear powder on some Bristol paper. WOW! It almost doesn't look like the same image. Friends, I think the hype with these markers is well-earned. They are easy to use, are quite versatile, and give good results. I think I'm going to change out the sentiment on this one. Just in case inquiring minds want to know... I purchased the Zig set of 24 markers. It comes with several shades of the same color---except for red. So I purchased 2 additional red shades & I'm really happy with what I have. So, no, I'm not getting all of the markers, Lol.

OK, 4 cards is my legal limit before I have to slap a cover on it & pay a publisher!
Thank you so much for hanging in there for so many cards.

I have to go out & finish up some shopping :(   Thanks for popping in today!

Holiday Card Blitz

Hi ya friends,
I have a few Christmas cards to share today. Being sick cut into my card-making time so I've been in a crafty flurry finishing up my Christmas cards for this year. Luckily, most of these will be hand-delivered.

Here's the first:
I used the Hot Cocoa Cups Dienamics from My Favorite Things along with the coordinating stamp set Hug in a Mug. This is such an easy peasy die set to work with.
 Here's a closer peek:
I used a Copic marker to create some yummy detail on the whipped cream. The cups were cut from pattern paper- super quick card!

Card #2:
Aren't these reindeer the cuuuutest! They are from the Reindeer Games stamp set from Mama Elephant. I colored them with Copics and cut them out using the coordinating dies. This totally reminds me of my cheerleading days and performing stunts. Rudolf is doing Russians at the top! *Ü* I added the little Santa hat and present from the Baaah Humbug stamp set from Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is from the Winter Scripty Sayings also from Lawn Fawn. The background is watercolored with Distress Inks and ink-blended around the edges. I think this card is just so much fun! Love this set!

Onward to Card #3
I used the Winter Alpaca stamp set and coordinating die from Lawn Fawn. I die cut him from Sweet Tooth Felt from MFT. I colored his scarf with copics on cardstock, fussy cut it, & adhered it to the felt alpaca.
I spritzed the background in Summer Sky Fireworks spray so it's shimmery and just the right amount of blue. I colored his little face with my son's markers (can't risk damage to mine...shhh ;) I added some Stickles to the snow bank & finished it off with some Sparkling clear sequins from PPP.

Ok, last one...
Whaaaat? not stopping at three??? Ya know, ya gotta mix it up once in a while ;)
This card uses the little sheep images from the Baaah Humbug stamp set from Lawn Fawn. The little sheep are also stamped on Sweet Tooth Felt & die cut with the coordinating dies.
Here's a closer peek:
I added some Martha Stewart Snow Glitter and hung a little mistletoe for smooching *Ü*  The background is embossed with the Sizzix/TH Poinsettia Knit embossing folder.

I used a couple of sketches to assist me:
For my hot cocoa cups card, I used MFT's Sketch #259
and for my Alpaca card, I used Mojo Monday Sketch #428
and Lawnscaping Challenge #120

Phew! Thanks for hanging in for all these cards. I'm getting plum tuckered out with holiday cards, really. Are you?

Thanks for popping in today!

Masking without the Work +VIDEO

Hello there friends,
I have loads to share with ya on today's start-to-finish card!

Today's card features:
1) A Video!
2) A Technique: Easy masking without using masking paper or masking fluid.
3) A First: Copic coloring. You will see how I go about coloring with Copics.

Here's the card featured in the video:
 Here's another peek:
Does this card look familiar??? Yup, I posted a similar card I created a few days ago. I recreated it so I could show you the whole process. I colored the snowman with Copic markers & masked him with Distress Glaze. I ink blended the background of both panels with Distress Inks.

This masking technique is perfect when you're feeling a little lazy (like me) and don't want to cut out masks or wait for liquid masking fluid to dry.

Here's the video of the entire card-making process start to finish:
Hope you enjoy!

or you can watch it on my channel---> HERE.
Thanks so much for popping in.

Fleece Navidad

Hello there friends,
I had wanted to post these cards earlier, but I've been sick, sick, sick with the stomach flu. :( Hope it doesn't come your way because it's no bueno. :(

Anyhoo, I have three cards to share today featuring the cuuuuute Baaah Humbug stamp set from Lawn Fawn and little shakers.
Here's the first:
As soon as I saw this set, I knew I wanted to stamp the sheep on felt! I used MFT Sweet Tooth felt which was perfect. It stamped clean with no smudging with Memento tuxedo black ink. I colored them lightly with my son's markers (shhhh) and of course, I had to use the "fleece navidad" sentiment... I am a Spanish teacher after all *Ü*
The centers are all shakers. This one has some Martha Stewart snow glitter and red stars to match the pattern paper.

Here's card #2:
This is another little sheep image from the set. It's so fun to add all the little accessories! The "Christmas" die cut comes from the Holiday Words Script set from Sizzix & Tim Holtz. Above the shaker, I added the small dainty bow dienamics from MFT cut from gold cardstock.

And the last card:
I added the larger Dainty Bow dienamics from MFT cut out of gold cardstock too.

If all three cards look similar, well that's because I used the same sketch to create them:
It's this week's MFT sketch #258
Thanks so much for peeking!
Have a great week *Ü*

Winter Wishes continues..

Hi friends,
Yes, it's me back so soon! After using this week's MFT sketch on the last card I shared, I had to make a few more. This sketch & I just clicked!

Here is the first:
I used one of my fave Christmas stamp sets- IB Christmas by My Favorite Things. I colored Santa with my Prisma pencils- nothing fancy, just quick coloring.

I added more Sparkly Fluff on the trim of Santa's hat. I curved the sentiment so it would fit around the Cross Stitch circle-MFT.

Here's card número 2:
I changed up Santa to this little snowman (Christmas Wishes stamp set from Darcie's). He's colored with Copics and the background is ink blended with Distress Inks. The sentiment is from the Warm Wishes stamp set by MFT on a Fishtail Flags Dienamics diecut.

And because you know how I like things in threes...
Same card elements, just changed the pattern papers. They both came from the same paper pack- Winter Frost by We R Memory Keepers. Each little snowman is sitting on a bit of snow Stickles.

Here's that sketch again:
Thanks so much for stopping by.
have a great week!

Winter Wishes

Happy weekend friends,
I have a winter card to share today.
Here it is:
This cutie is from MFT PI: Warm Wishes. I colored her with Copics using the no-line coloring technique. I decided to take some creative liberties and give her some long hair. *Ü*

Here's a closer peek at her:
The fur trim on her clothes got a coating of Sparkly Fluff which is the *perfect* addition for a more realistic feel. The fluff has bits of glitter & tinsel so it's great for this *Ü* You just can't help touching it *Ü*

The background is stamped with the Tim Holtz Holiday Knits Stamp set. The front panel was ink blended with Distress Inks. I took a dot stencil and added embossing paste to give it the look of snow falling. I used the MFT Cross Stitch Stax and the Stitched Snowdrifts Dienamics. To the snow, I added some Martha Stewart Snow Glitter. Then I added a few sparkling clear sequins from PPP.

Here's a peek at the innies:
I stamped the sentiment in pink to coordinate with her pink outfit. It's from the Seasonal Sentiments stamp set by MFT.

I used this week's MFT sketch #257:

How are you coming along with your Holiday cards? I'm a busy little elf because I really want to send as many as I can make this year!

Thanks so much for taking a peek about the blog today!
Have a great day!
